County Health Rankings
The health outcomes of Van Wert County residents continues to improve, according to the Annual County Health Rankings released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. The county was ranked 19th out of the state’s 88 counties in health outcomes. This represents significant progress over the overall health ranking of 39th out of 88 Ohio counties in 2011. However, the health factors rankings have gone down over the last few years, ranking 20th in 2016.
The data and conclusions found in the 2016 County Health Rankings will inform and provide direction for the continued efforts of community health partners working together to create a culture of health in Van Wert County.
