The Van Wert County General Health District is required to license and inspect each Body Art Establishment in the county. Van Wert County currently has two licensed Body Art Establishments. These establishments are inspected at least once each year. The inspections focus on sanitation, proper sterilization of reusable equipment, and use of universal precautions to prevent transmission of blood-borne pathogens.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911. If you need to report a public health risk, problem, environmental hazard, or reportable infectious disease, please call 419-238-0808 and follow the prompts to leave a message for the appropriate person.
